General Information
• Club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6.00 for 6.30 pm at the Theodore Club, 1st floor, 333 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.
• Visitors are welcome.
• Meeting Fee - Members and visitors: $5.00 or $15.00 for a one course meal with tea or coffee.
• Affiliated with Toastmasters International, the world’s leading organisation devoted to the improvement of individual communication and leadership skills.

Members have opportunities to:

• Learn and practise techniques of effective public speaking.
• Prepare and deliver formal speeches on subjects of their own choosing.
• Give impromptu talks on assigned topics.
• Gain speaking experience that relates to specific career needs.
• Sharpen their listening and evaluation skills.
• Learn proper parliamentary procedure.
• Preside as a meeting chairperson.
• Gain valuable leadership and management experience.
• Gain personal confidence that will help when speaking to one person or a thousand.

• Take a look at our Insight section.
• Come to a meeting and see if DC Toastmasters will suit you.
• Fill in a membership form and pay fees (max. $145).
• You will receive a membership kit shortly after joining.
• You will be inducted into the club and assigned a mentor.
• You will prepare for your first speech.
